Profession: Head Bartender
At: Singapore
What initially started out as a daily affair of running errands for his father in a gastropub rapidly expanded into a 13-year bartending career spanning across Europe, and now Asia for Tippling Club’s head-bartender, Kamil Foltan.
The Czech’s constant pursuit to re-design classic cocktails with his own innovative spin has brought Foltan across many cities including Prague, Puerto Banus, Dublin and London. Armed with a diploma in hospitality and tourism, Foltan went on to work under the mentorship of renowned mixologists such as Tony Conigliaro and Zdenek Kastanek and from there, developed a very sharp sense of experimenting with flavour profiles and aromas in his signature brand of tipples.
While Foltan helmed Zetter Townhouse in London as its head barman, the bar earned the Best Place to Drink under Observer Food Monthly Awards in 2012, World’s Best New Cocktail Bar under Spirited Awards in 2012 and was voted London Hotel of the Year by the Good Hotel Guide in 2012.
