A Belgian strong pale ale has been made by the Friat family since 1873, St Feuillien is named after the local Abbaye St-Feuillien du Roeulx, which in turn is named for a 7th century Irish monk who was beheaded and martyred as he journeyed across a forest where the Belgium town of Le Roeulx now stand

Apariencia

Slightly haze, dry sand golden-yellow with a huge long lasting white head with moderate lacing.

Aroma

Sour yeasty nose with orange zest, cut grass, coriander, touch of clove and faint floral aromas.

Gusto

More sour than bitter, malty palate with yeasty, powerfull hop garnish of coriander, clove and black pepper spice.

Regusto

Lingering Indian spice (garam marsala) and black pepper on a malty finish.
