A single cask Islay malt distilled in 1996 at Caol Ila and aged 16 years in an American oak hogshead which yielded 380 bottles. Part of a range of 5 malts released by Wemyss in October 2012, each representing a different whisky region and named after flavours reminiscent of the whisky’s character.
Clear, light to mid-golden.
Salty smoked crispy bacon and sooty kippers with creosote and tar.
Peaty smoke, tar, soot and smoky bacon crisps with hints of the lemon promised in this malt’s name.
Long, salty smoky finish with lingering tar.
