St Peter’s seasonal ale is made at their brewery in St. Peter South Elmham, near Bungay in Suffolk using a blend of locally grown barley and wheat.
(sample best before 16-Apr-16) Clear, deep coppery amber with thin but retentive off-white head and thin lacing.
Malty caramel with dried fruit and Christmas cake.
Toasted malts, burnt caramel and burnt currants with appropriate hints of nutty Christmas pudding. Obvious spirity notes from high alcohol content.
Toasty malt and black pepper corns. Overall: Deceptively easy to drink considering its high alc./vol. with appropriate dried fruit and faint nuttiness.
