STIR all ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled glass (preferably with one large hand-cracked cube)

Garnitura:

Orange zest twist (discarded)

Historia:

Cognac and aromatised wine lifted with a splash of absinthe. Complex and refreshing.

Acerca de:

Created in 2013 by Erik Lorincz, Head Bartender at the American Bar, Savoy Hotel, London. He was inspired after seeing a work by Claude Monet that hangs in the suite where the French impressionist originally sketched the pastels piece entitled Waterloo Bridge in 1901. Erik was inspired by the moment when Monet entered his suite and decided to sketch the view from his window of the capital’s iconic landmark.
