3 fresh Hojas de albahaca
1⅔ fl oz Bacardi Carta Blanca light rum
fl oz Skinos Mastiha
fl oz Jugo de limón recién exprimido
fl oz Jarabe de azúcar (2 azúcar a 1 de agua)

Cómo se hace:

SHAKE all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass. (There’s no need to muddle basil if good ice and shake are used.)

Garnitura:

Drip 5 drops of olive oil on top

Historia:

“My cocktail is inspired by Dale DeGroff’s ‘Whiskey Smash’ and Joerg Meyer’s ‘Gin Basil Smash.’ It represents Don Facundo’s sweet and sour life. The olive oil floating on top of the cocktail symbolizes both the Mediterranean and Don Facundo’s first homemade rum that he used to sell in recycled olive oil tins.

“My cocktail is a mix between Latin and Mediterranean cultures so I have called it ‘El Mediterráneo’.”
