Right at the end of Gouraud/Gemmayzeh Street and on the borders of Mar Mikhael, this long, narrow little wedge of a space majors on Asian fusion flavours, complete with international/sushi restaurant and bar snacks.
Dark and moody, illuminated with sinuous wedges of gold neon, the decor sits neatly on the boundary between "man-cave" and overkill.
The fusion concept produces largely fruity, long drinks, including some fresh fruit Bellinis. The Strawberry and Ginger Fizz looked appealing, but we opted for an Apple and Cucumber Martini, made with the Eastern Mediterranean resin-infused liqueur Mastika (from Cyprus, in this case). Refreshing and intriguing, it hit the spot.
The designers have managed to cram a lot of dark, elegant goodness into a very small space, which is perhaps more one for winter drinking than summer drinking.
