My attempt at mimicking the taste of a Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnut without ending up with an overly sweet cocktail

Tried it with Dr. McGillicuddy's Butterscotch schnapps and the flavor is overpowering at 1/2 oz.

Very good, but to me, something is missing. I can't think what it might be —maybe a touch of salt? But still, a very enjoyable warm cocktail for a cool afternoon / evening.
