This drink appeals to a very specific crowd. Tannic is definitely the word here, though I did only make a 1:1 tea syrup but used the called for volume measure in the drink. Overall, it's got an earthy, fortified sweet tea flavor that becomes more appealing sip after sip. I did not care for it first sip or two, but now I want to play with it. Worth making once.
