Bénédictine adds both saffron flavour and vivid yellow colour to this cognac based cocktail with maraschino contributing fruity notes. Champagne dries...
Coming back to it a year later, being very precise with my measurements...it's just really not good. At least now it's not just a maraschino bomb, but it's all around mediocre. Reminds me a lot of a martini, weirdly.
What a marvelous after-dinner drink. The herbal hints from the Benedictine along with the maraschino enhance the cognac. The prosecco enlivens the cocktail.
