A French 75 made more interesting by a splash of absinthe

We were not so happy with this cocktail. Absinthe is too much overpowering and we found the overall balance not so good.

For us this is perfect.
As lovers of absinthe, it is excellent. It enhanced the flavours of the gin. Very spirit forward and you MUST like absinthe to appreciate the balance of the cocktail. Would definitely make it again.

very medicinal, although in a good way... gin is present only faintly, maybe should have taken absinth down to 5ml

I made this tonight, and I only had sparkling rosé. It turned out rather nice in the end. Definitely quite boozy, the rosé was perhaps a little sweet, but the absinthe was clearly there and very tasty.
Need to check again with a less sweet sparkling, or back off the sugar syrup, because this was pretty nice.
