A shimmering, low-ABV aperitif, Fleur de Glace is a floral raspberry spritz — elegant, lightly sparkling, and full of quiet charm. Bright lemon, elderflower...
I recently served this as the aperitif for a small dinner with friends, and it was a lovely way to begin the evening. Elderflower was new to everyone at the table, and the comments quickly turned to how beautiful the aroma was. (Orange blossom water for the win) I made it with a good Italian prosecco and served it in wine glasses with a few fresh raspberries nestled in the bottom. It disappeared quickly, with several of us happily going back for another glass while we visited before dinner. I'll definitely be making this one again.
Revisiting this for an afternoon apertif, in an attempt to enjoy the holiday while still being relatively responsible. The light floral overtones from the orange blossom water and elderflower keep it fragrant and the bubbles keep it bright. Originally created as a brunch offering, turns out it goes pretty well with a picnic, too.
