Really different mix. Fruity, botanical, but lots of bitterness from the PeM and Cynar. The Plymouth Sloe is a quality liqueur, so cheaper substitutes may not mix so well. Kind of has a Negroni vibe, but in a very different way.

This is fantastic. Notes of Plum seem to roll all through the finish. Used Sipsmiths Sloe, Oxley LD. Cynar is subdued in this, but seems to have used its energy to reign in the Sloe from being all you taste.

Too rich and indistinct.

Well, this one just very easily and very successfully elbowed its way into my favourites list. Great cocktail, especially for these evenings of early sundowns.

Cheers! This one was created at Our Fathers gin bar in Allston/Boston, MA inspired by Drink's 1919 Cocktail and Phil Ward's Lipspin.
