Used a California over-proof bourbon. Was perfect. Just enough jolt from the whiskey and the mild flavour of the 7Up. I used 7UP zero.

I like to zhuzh mine up with .25 oz fresh lemon juice and a couple dashes of Ango
Good with lime juice too, honestly

Very easy going drink, perfect for someone who hates alcohol but wants to drink anyway. For me though, even with a wet palate, very boring.

I prefer it with blended whisky, I think the taste is more balanced than with bourbon.

The lemon/lime flavors paired quite well with Thanksgiving turkey dinner. Simple but quite refreshing.
