Much, much darker than the picture. I did use Ango and a lavender tincture instead. Eitherways, delicious and complex. Lavender and agave as always are meant to go together. The Bianco Vermouth just balances everything well.

We begin to suspect that our good host has an affinity with and intuitive feel for Martini style drinks, in particular. We thought this one excellent, although admittedly we favour Martinis with vermouth bianco. Anyway, bravo.

btw does the website's sweet versus dry/sour scale for each cocktail make much sense when it comes to Martinis? We understand that, in the case of a Martini, the opposite of dry is wet, not sweet.

This is amazing. The anejo tequila and maraschino work perfectly with the white vermouth. The lavender bitters adds and interesting floral and herbal hints. Thanks Simon. Your cocktails always rank high with us.
Was perfect as an aperitif, but it could be used as an afternoon sipper.

Any thoughts on whether this would work with Reposado tequila rather than Anejo?

It would work but would be a different cocktail and depending on your reposado, perhaps a tad sweeter.

A few drops of lavender bitters can go a long way but three dashes are perfectly balanced in this cocktail. Noticed a woody pine foundation under the floral lavender flavors.
The tequila and vermouth blend seamlessly, no small thanks to the maraschino liqueur. Think I'll have another.
