Nice. I'd be inclined to serve this one up.

Made it exactly according to the recipe and loved it!
Less sweet and more interesting than the typical Old Fashioned. The Amontillado anchors it with a nice mushroom funk, and the lemon gives it an elegant, refreshing lift.
5 Stars!

Completely agree with the five stars. Just revisited this after several years (?) and it's still fantastic!

If you like your Old Fashioneds a bit on the dry side, this one's for you...and we used a Manzanilla.

Incredible interplay between the Amontillado and the Benedictine. Used an orange twist that gave a decadent nose.

Not too bad but didn't love. Used a fino sherry cause that's what I had.

Had one of these at Public Domain in Minneapolis. Excellent. The nuttiness from the sherry was really nice.

Makes a great aperitif. Used Riptide 118 proof rye from California. Nice hints of herbal with the sherry coming in at the end. Great.

This was delicious with The Bitter Truth's Aromatic Old Time Bitters.
