Oh, what a surprise reading this !
I am sorry to inform you that the recipe listed above is inaccurate and the part of the story that the cocktail was created in 2016 and Nick Mautone was a Grey Goose ambassador also inaccurate.

The original recipe is
1 1/4 oz Grey Goose vodka
3oz lemonade
1/2 oz Chambord
Build and stir over ice and garnish with 3 honeydew melon balls

It would be great if you could adjust to reflect the reality of it.

Thank you

No need to apologise! Many thanks for pointing out the typo. I’ve now corrected from 2016 to 2006. With regards to Nick Mautone’s role as Brand Ambassador for Grey Goose, this is what’s on Nick’s own website.

“In addition to restaurants, Nick works with beverage companies to assist in their marketing & brand management, training of sales & distribution teams, new product development and mixology. In that focus he has been the Grey Goose Vodka Brand Ambassador since 2005.”

As for the recipe, I specifically state “Adapted from”. Indeed, the recipe is titled “Honey Deuce (Difford’s version)."

This original spec for this cocktail is a honeydew melon ball garnish as the light green melon more closely resembles the color of a tennis ball.

This one is refreshing, well balanced and the alcohol is not detectable, so beware! Goes down quickly and easily. Perfect summer night
