I don't know if anyone here is familiar with Ernst Happel, but this sounds like the last thing on earth he would have been having regularly. I'd love to know the story behind the name. It does sound amazing, so I guess I'll have to buy some Kirschwasser now. *sigh*

A sound observation - from what I've read, Happel was very much a cognac drinker.
