A full on dinner in your glass, vegetal, bright, balanced on the sweetness, with just the right amount of pimento spice. Marries well with tequila/mezcal, or a Bloody Mary template. This should be the next bartender’s ketchup, for the savoury/salinic drinks, that is.

I found Ancho Reyes Verde's powerful vegetal character to be quite hard to work with. It works well in a small number of drinks that already lean in that direction, but for me it is a lot less versatile than the original Ancho Reyes.

Great cocktail ingredient, adds a really nice kick of fresh, green chiles without hassle. Also nice to sip — as long as you like chili , that is.
