Zero waste

The owner and head bartender of Gorilla Bar in Greece, Achilleas Plakidas, collects trash from neighbourhood bars and restaurants for his Better Drinking project.

After he recognised the large amounts of fresh ingredients which don't get used are simply thrown out, Achilleas searched for a sustainable alternative.

Achilleas and his team gathered the leftovers from his bar and those nearby and processed them in their lab. They produced a soda which they used to create their cocktail #Zeroismyhero, a twist on the classic Dutch Mule. The soda was then distributed to the participating bars and restaurants around the city.
