Conor Friel

Conor experienced the cathartic power of dance and the 'beauty of blend' as a young man, taking classes in hip-hop, jazz, ballet and Shotokan karate. Pursuing erudition in the fields of economics and mathematics, he enrolled as an undergraduate at Trinity College Dublin, spending a year on academic exchange at The University of California, Berkeley.

While at Cal, he became the 1194th brother of the Phi Kappa Psi American collegiate fraternity initiated by the Cal Gamma chapter. His prowess at beer pong, thirst for room-temperature Natural Ice and academic inclinations have diminished rapidly over time.

Drawn towards creative forms of expression, dabbling in satirical comedy and caricature, a commissioned piece-to-camera for 'Lovin' Dublin' – an online magazine – garnered over 30,000 views in under 24 hours! He cut his teeth as a bartender at The Temple Bar Pub in Temple Bar, Dublin – the spiritual home of raucous shenanigans! He further refined his craft at The Shelbourne Hotel, St. Stephen's Green – the most iconic, historic five-star hotel in Ireland.

Crowned the Tullamore D.E.W. Bar Stories champion in 2019, Conor hopes to put his oratorical skills to good use promoting 'the beauty of blend' in a light-hearted yet whole-hearted manner, drawing on his own interests and elements of Irish culture.
