Do the things you love

Words by Simone de Luca, Officina Milano

Hello everyone, my name is Simone! Just wanted to share my thinking on how to spend positively all of this time that now we find on our hands. We all had busy lives, schedules, meeting, goals and always complained about not having time to do things for ourselves!

Now, for once, we can simply take a step back and enjoy ourselves! I personally start my day with an easy workout, no more than 30 minutes, something that does not drain all of my energy so I can be proactive during the day! I use breakfast as my meditation time, focusing on what I'm eating and drinking to nourish the body. Then I focus on my social media, getting back to few emails, generally doing some work if possible.

My main passion has always been playing the guitar, you don't really need to concentrate on something if you really enjoy what you do! I split my training in 2 times a day, one after lunch and one after dinner, I just play as much as I like, when I don't feel like it anymore I'll just put it down. But it's the things that helps me the most in keeping me sane trough out this challenging times! If you have a dusty guitar anywhere at home is time to pick it up, tune it properly and start strumming few chords, the joy of playing music is indescribable! It will lift your spirit and it'll also make you look cool AF, bonus points!

There's plenty of tutorials on YouTube and hundreds of apps that will help the process step by step. Enjoy yourself, have a dram of whisky by your side and dive yourself into the music world! On a side note, having a drink every now and then it's cool, everyday it's not.

Drink responsibly and stay safe!
