Jeffrey Morgenthaler is an award-winning bartender, working since 1996 in everything from neighbourhood taverns and college nightclubs to fine restaurants and upscale lounges. He currently manages the James Beard Award-nominated bar program at Clyde Common in Portland, Oregon.

Jeffrey has been writing about bartending and mixology since 2004 at his website, jeffreymorgenthaler.com. The website features original cocktail recipes, product reviews, and discussions nf bartending techniques. He is also the author of The Bar Book: Elements of Cocktail Technique, the world's first technique manual for cocktails.

His recipes and wisdom have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Wine Enthusiast, Playboy, Wired, and Imbibe magazines. Forbes Traveler called him one of the "Cocktail Movers and Shakers" of 2007, Playboy.com named him one of the top ten mixologists in the United States, and Tasting Panel Magazine awarded him as a "New Leader" in 2009. In 2011, he was named a "Rising Star Mixologist" by StarChefs, and Bartender of the Year in 2013 by Nightclub and Bar.

Jeffrey is the co-owner of Portland's Pacific Standard cocktail bar and this follows a long tenure managing the seven-time James Beard Award-nominated bar program at Clyde Common and celebrated Pepe Le Moko.
