Visitor centre

Camus offer visitors the unique opportunity to blend their own XO Cognac specifically to their own tastes and to take a bottle of their bespoke Cognac home to enjoy. Called the “Master Blender’s Workshop” this is available for groups of up to 35-40 and lasts two hours.

An experienced cellar master is on hand to guide novice blenders through the characterises of the four XO single-cru cognacs on which to base their blends. These come from Cognac’s most important regions: Borderies, Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois, each being typical of the style associated with each cru.

Visitors can nose and taste each of the four single-cru Cognacs and then trial different combinations in their glass to decide on the proportions of each to use in their blend. Then, with measuring cylinder in hand, they are invited to draw the Cognacs straight from the cask and to mix their own blend which they bottle and label. Finally, visitors enter the details of their blend in the cellar master’s book so that the blend can be reproduced and reproduced.
