One Idea, Three directions - The Range

Ferrand Dry Curaçao began with a deceptively simple question: what did the curaçao specified by the great cocktail recipes of the 19th century actually taste like? Answering this required looking at old books, old bottles and forgotten production methods. What is more interesting is where that research subsequently led.

  • The original expression rebuilt a brandy-based curaçao style around Cognac, bitter orange, and layered botanical extraction.
  • Yuzu Late Harvest demonstrated that those techniques could be applied to a completely different citrus fruit without compromising the liqueur's underlying identity.
  • Tropical then took the idea across the Atlantic, exchanging Cognac for Barbados rum and connecting curaçao with the Caribbean tradition of shrubbs.

Together, the three bottles offer an unusually clear demonstration of how a liqueur is shaped by much more than its headline flavour.
