Robin and Jane Cannon purchased Newton House, a Jacobean Manor in 60 acres of gardens and grounds in 2007. They have lovingly restored the house, outbuildings and grounds have been lovingly restored - including the walled gardens.

The decided to use their unique spring water and homegrown botanicals to create a small batch, handcrafted gin. Originally developed in Hermione, a 10 litre copper still, their gin is distilled in Henrietta, a 60 litre copper still which sits next to Hermione. Both stills are located in the old dairy of the house with Robin the resident master distiller.
