Monymusk Distilley (like Hampden Distillery, Jamaica) has Scottish roots and is one of the oldest plantations in Jamaica. In the mid-18th century it was owned by Sir Archibald Grant who also owned a Slaving Station in West Africa which provided labour for his plantation.
