The oldest and leading Armagnac firm, founded in 1851 by Pierre Etienne Janneau. Since 1993 the company has been owned by the Italian spirits conglomerate Giovinetti & Figli from Seagram.

Two different methods are permitted in the production of Armagnac, the continuous distillation method called ‘Armagnacais’ and the ‘Double Distillation’ method using pot stills. At Janneau they blend brandies produced by both methods. However, this five year old Armaganc is produced entirely from double distilled eaux de vie.
