An early Pierre Frapin was apothecary to Louis XIV and the coat of arms the king granted him appears on the label of this cognac. More recently, a different Pierre Frapin founded this family firm, which boasts the largest vineyard in Grande Champagne, and is now owned by the Cointreau family.
