I like mine just like that, and add an extra orange wheel (peeled) to muddle with my straw and make it extra sweet towards the end of the drink.

Used 22.5ml passoa instead of passion fruit, no garnish, very boozy but very good.
You swapped the main ingredient from a fruit to a liqueur. How is it related to this cocktail ??
I’m unable to get cachaca so have been trying to scale this without that ingredient/volume, and it just won’t turn out...today was maybe the best balance except for this serious dilution thing. Is a half scoop of crushed ice 6oz like in other recipes here? I’m wondering if it’s less because using the relatively lower amount from that number created a very watery drink. Unless I wasn’t supposed to blend until nearly uniform...
Were the juice and coconut milk cold?
If not, it takes a lot of ice to cool it down.
That's what just happened when I made one - alcoohol-free - for my kids!
Easily my favorite! I've also mixed this with Canada Dry, lacking ginger beer. Acceptable but much sweeter. Maybe without the syrup...
If you have some ginger handy, you can crush some with lemon juice, add a bit of sugar and top up with soda water, and w-bam you have an ersatz of ginger beer to your taste.
I can't give you exact measurements, but I'd say a thick slice of ginger is enough for one serving of ginger ale-ish.
I had some cheap ginger ale (Schweppes Canada Dry) and tried it; it was too sweet and way too bland.
In the base of the shaker, I muddled a small slice of ginger root, with about hald a shot of lemon juice, and added it to the mix: I find it more balanced, and the ginger makes up for the lack of expressiveness of the cheap ginger ale.
Excellent as an aperitive, but a bit too aggressive for refreshing on a hot day. I doubled the quantity of black tea and it gave a perfect iced tea drink; according to your taste, you may want something between those settings.
I tried again with even more tea than that, and it was very bland.
