Agreed with John…..a bit sweet. Probably use ⅓ or ¼ oz Rich Syrup next time.

Under the No Vodka house rule, used Pisco instead. Floral…..very refreshing!
Used Salers and Del Maguey Vida for this drink. It is excellent….
Accidentally poured ¼ oz Luxardo, really loved it!
The recipe I used was with ¼ oz Rich Syrup….also this is one of cocktail that I serve in a Valentines Day Party, as it includes all flavors in relationships. LOL
I always make this drink with Green Chartreuse, with 1 ½ oz Rye & 3-4 Dashes Angostrua. Excellent drink! Wild Turkey 101 Rye gave more complexed layers out of other 3 different rye I tried.
Mellower Yellow Chartreuse and more volume of Rye, wonder how that would play on in comparison….when I get this Mellow Yellow Bottle.
Lightly whipped the GC & heavy cream….Outstanding drink! Love every sip!
Used Rye and Dark Crème de Cacao. Very good! I will make this one again when I get a bottle of White Crème de Cacao to see the difference.
No strawberry liqueur. Fresh Strawberries are coming in the season. Mashed 3-4 big ripe strawberries to get about 1 oz juice, 1/6 -1/4 oz Rich Syrup to give extra sweetness. Better quality of Grappa is required. Hard Strawberry Lemonade in Grappa’s Way.
Great drink to showcase Scotch & Honey combo. I will definitely make this drink warm when the weather is getting cooler. It probably would replace spiked hot chocolate!
Old school liqueurs mix with hint of Tiki flare!
Light & refreshing drink that is heavily relying on quality of Sherry…
Very delightful sipper. For those who has drier taste, this could be a dessert-like drink after meal.
I like the idea of this cocktail….however, I will reduce amount of lemon juice next time.
I suppose Vodka would make taste cleaner?! I do not have one, so used Pisco instead. Really fruity and love the passion fruit finish….I will try with Vodka next time.
New to Grappa, only have an average quality bottle here. However I was not disappointed. Even though this is not my favorite one of grappa cocktails. I am willing to make an investment.
It is a unique cocktail. Even though I don’t have top of line Grappa like John recommended. It exceeds my expectation. I will definitely make it again.
Excellent drink….I have both Laird’s Applejack & Roger Groult Calvados on my shelf. They both taste great. However, Calvados one had more layers coming through. Used Cara Cara Orange here which is a bit less sweet than regular orange….work well.
Used Pisco instead…..good alternative! Next time I will try with rum as Luke mentioned.
I really like to know how its title came about…..this mix is like a good puzzle keep my mind wondering! Made with Bourbon tonight, will try Rye next time.
Second time making it with George Dickel Rye….taste a bit sharp/brighter. I like it better…
Very interesting flavors combination. A bit sweet, not in the bad way though. If someone likes drier drink, maybe ¼ - ⅓ oz rich syrup.
This is my second Grappa cocktail…. I shall always have a bottle of Grappa next to Green Chartreuse…..love it.
Very refreshing drink. I used Cara Cara Navel Orange which is less sweet than regular oranges. Agreed with other members regarding using Orgeat only.
This is way better than I expected. Silky texture with delightful sweetness! I sprinkled nutmeg on the top. Great addition
