Very apt name considering the huge creme de menthe proportion. Would probably reduce this to 1/3 oz though, to let the other ingredients develop
Even better with an additional half oz of falernum (or full oz to replace the simple syrup)
I so love the appeal of the licorice flavor, it always reminds me of my childhood. I thought the recipe was a little week, but there is always a place for a good low abv cocktail. It tasted good, but I fortified this with a 1/2 oz of white Cuban Rum. It was also very nice.
Added 1/2 of Wray and nephew, and it does indeed elevate the drink
Dry shook everything as I did not care much about the visual appearance. Incredibly smooth drink, super balanced, maybe I will do .5 rich and .5 orgeat next time for an additional almond taste
I cut the Suze from 20 to 15 and increase the Midori from 10 to 15, more balanced for people who are not fans of Suze.
I did the same and find it indeed more balanced that way
As others have commented, the drink is much elevated by the addition of 15ml of banana liqueur (giffard here)
