I make this with 2oz light rum (Flor de Cana), 1/2oz spiced rum and a half barspoon of raspberry jam instead of syrup.
Delish, and something that kicks back way too easily.

Not knowing how much 8 cubes of cucumber measures out to be, I used two slices about 5mm thick (just under 1/4 inch.)
I used a fresh bush cucumber, Stillweather Spirits Pluvia Vitae aquavit, and green chartreuse.
I also mixed it up by double straining into a highball of crushed ice and topped with a couple ounces of cucumber-mint seltzer water.
WOW, this will be great come summer.
It started with the fresh cucumber flavor and finished like a dill pickle. Great work

FWIW, I went almost to the recipe because I had a good sized martini glass to fill. 1.75oz Gin, 1oz homemade triple sec, 1 oz lemon, and the rest as advertised.
This is the cocktail for the mall rat GenXer. I've been there. For me this was the adult, lemon version of the mall Orange Julius stand. The taste and the texture are right there.
As is, I found this very sweet. Will likely try another this evening with less, or even omit, the simple sugar.
Now THIS is fun. As stated, honey is HUGE influential on this cocktail. I've made a few, having only changed the honey option. From store bought, local wild, orange blossom, and a couple others. Splurge on either orange blossom, or local organic honey. Wow. While honey isn't the highlight, it certainly is the backbone on which the Aquavit flavors ride.
I make mine with Stillweather Pluvia Vitae and homemade orange liqueur (all other things being the same).
If you ever wondered what a scotch margarita tastes like, this is pretty darn close.
