Named after Blanche of Namur, the daughter of John, Count of Namur. Legend has it that the young princess's beauty attracted Magnus IV Eriksson, King of Sweden and Norway, and in 1335 she left to become Queen of Norway and Sweden.

So this is a beer named after a fairy-tale princess - perhaps not a story for the boozer.

Avaliação e degustação

Experimentado em 17/03/2012

Aparência:

Hazy (apparently this can clear when the beer warms), straw yellow with short lived white head which quickly disappears altogether.

Aroma:

Yeasty nose with clove, coriander and orange zest.

Sabor:

Citrus/lime flavour and mild acidity adds a refreshing quality to a wheaty, yeasty palate with cove and coriander spice.

Aftertaste:

Black peppery notes emerge in the malty clove finish.
