Em 1904, a empresa embarcou sete barris de uísque Jack Daniel's para St Louis, Missouri, para a Feira Mundial. Eles foram enviados por trem, via Tullahoma, mas os relatórios foram telegrafados de volta dizendo que a empresa ferroviária havia perdido os sete barris. Então, outros sete foram enviados. Ao mesmo tempo, a companhia ferroviária encontrou os sete primeiros, então eles os marcaram como "Old Number Seven" ( "os antigos 7"), para que esses barris não fossem confundidos quando os novos sete barris chegassem.

Claro, meio dourado cor de âmbar.

Aroma:

Tostado de carvalho, baunilha picante, pipoca e caramelo com alcatrão, café mocha, tabaco de enrolar, banana madura e pão de gengibre.

Sabor:

Amanteigado de espiga de milho grelhado, pipoca queimada, baunilha, sal e caffe latte com banana madura, pão de gengibre e pimenta preta picada. Suavemente doce, quase imperceptível.

Aftertaste:

Levemente salgado, persistência de carvalho seco novo, carvão de churrasco e final picante.

No geral:

Devido ao seu apelo de mercado de massa e comparativamente baixo teor alcoólico, Jack faz sucesso entre muitos aficionados de uísque. O Old N ° 7 é um uísque confiável, com um caráter um tanto áspero, uma personalidade que se sobressai com mixers como refrigerante de cola. No entanto, experimente-o com gelo e club soda, para apreciar os sabores de pipoca levemente salgadas, com grãos tostados, carvão e um leve dulçor.
