These Australian Barrel Spice bitters are made by macerating herbs and spices in alcohol in French Oak. The makers say they are "suited to a Manhattan or Whiskey Sour."

Appearance:

Clear, deep tawny brown amber.

Aroma:

Pungent spice and herbal aromas with clove and cinnamon most obvious.

Taste:

Clove, dried fruit and orange zest with bitter rootyness, hints of coffee and pronounced spice – cinnamon, cardamom and black pepper.

Aftertaste:

Long bitter and spice finish.

Overall:

Not to be confused with Barrel Aged Bitters, these Barrel Spiced Bitters are just that – spicy.
