Review and Tasting

Sampled on 17/11/2020

Appearance:

Clear, deep coppery amber.

Aroma:

Burnt toast with a touch of iodine.

Taste:

Woodsmoke, dry oak tannins, tar, iodine, and rich honeyed barley. A splash of water reveals sweet flambéed banana.

Aftertaste:

Lingering whisps of smoke with toasted barley and iodine.

Overall:

The bottle promises a "Contemporary Indian Whisky" so don't expect anything bland or traditional. Wood Burns delivers with almost Islay-style woodsmoke, dry oak tannins, tar, iodine, and rich honeyed barley.
