Review and Tasting

Sampled on 11/09/2016

Appearance:

Clear, coppery amber.

Aroma:

Zesty tangerine orange, marzipan, roasted almond, dried apricot and vanilla with mild cinnamon spice.

Taste:

Relatively dry for liqueur with a silky mouthfeel. Flavours of clove, honey, vanilla, toasted almond, marzipan, dried fruit and whisky.

Aftertaste:

Long finish with marzipan, toasted almond, dried fruit, malty whisky, honey and cinnamon spice.

Overall:

This relatively dry blend of amaretto and Scotch malt whisky is somewhat reminiscent of a Rusty Nail with clove, honey, vanilla, toasted almond, marzipan, dried fruit and whisky. Delicious.
