Review and Tasting

Sampled on 23/09/2015

Appearance:

Clear, pale to mid-golden amber.

Aroma:

Spicy and fruity with sherbet, old leather, old books, grass, stewed fruits and smoke. Farmyard and red apple notes are released with water.

Taste:

Ripe pear and pear drops with meaty character and smoked pear/apple juice. More apple with water and also creamy milk chocolate and waxiness.

Aftertaste:

Smokiness and meatiness emerges with lingering waxy grassy notes.

Overall:

Special due to being from a new closed distillery but also special due to its superb quality. Smoky and delicately spiced with red apple, pear drops and creamy milk chocolate.
