Not really as over-spiced as "mulled" would imply - this is clearly a negroni, but with some additional sweetness and spice, esp from the sloe gin and falernum. A very nice, seasonal variant.

Christmas is coming ... and this helped bring it just that little bit closer. Great Christmas-time cocktail, especially for someone like me who tends to avoid the somewhat more traditional/typical Christmas flavours such as cranberry or advocaat.

Very Christmassy! Seemed liked the perfect opportunity for Four Pillars Shiraz Gin, especially as lacked an open bottle of red wine.
Sweet and spicy and definitely less bitter than usual, but still definitely a negroni.

This is an outstanding cocktail, and perfect during the holiday season. The flavours are exactly what we needed for a cocktail just before Christmas. Great flavours of mulled wine in a cocktail. Great Christmas gift.

I love a classic Negroni, so I’m a bit picky about variations. This one passes the test though. I shall be adding it to my list. ??

Lovely flavour combos in this one. Delighted negroni fans and non fans alike (it takes the bitterness down quite a bit). Easy to pre-bottle for events too (I added 25% water), which avoids the six bottle juggling and the risk of not having any red wine available. Just make a large bottling for the festive period and finish on request - worked a treat!
