Serve in a Collins glass
1 1⁄2 oz | Oude genever |
1⁄2 oz | Green Chartreuse (or alternative herbal liqueur) |
1⁄2 oz | Lime juice (freshly squeezed) |
1⁄4 oz | Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup) |
3 dash | Angostura Aromatic Bitters |
2 3⁄4 oz | Thomas Henry Tonic Water |
Garnish: Lime wedge
SHAKE first 5 ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled glass. TOP with tonic water, lightly stir and serve with straws.
Every ingredient, apart from the sugar, has at some time been consumed for its medicinal qualities. Even sugar is still used to make bitter-tasting medicine more palatable. Some might say that's just what I've done here.
