Criado em 2013 por Michele Mariotti no American bar do hotel do Savoy, Londres. Michele foi uma dos cinco finalistas no concurso "Difford's guide Beer-tail", para a London Cocktail Week 2013, realizado na sexta-feira 9 de agosto de 2013, no Cabinet Room. O drink de Michele foi inspirado pela estadia de Charlie Chaplin no Savoy, em 1889.
