Polish Bacardí Legacy 2015 winning cocktail by Karim Bibars at Pergamin Bar in Krakow.
My cocktail is a tribute to the Maestros Ron Bacardí, true artists who love what they do, pay attention to every little detail and achieve something unique. We bartenders, as craftsmen, pay tribute to them by creating cocktails worthy of their legacy.
Karim Bibars, 2015
"My 'Maestro Smash' combines fresh basil (often used in Cuban cuisine) and lime, the classic sour agent in rum-based cocktails. Muscovado sugar perfectly enhances the molasses notes of Bacardí Carta Oro and its nutty flavor mixes with fresh basil; Maraschino liqueur adds depth and fullness.
