Review

This is the uptown estranged relation of the downtown cocktail bar of the same name. Both Gimlets maintain the original logo but this one is now owned by the folk behind the famous Dry Martini bar on Aribau.

This uptown Gimlet has a New York style interior that contemporary in feel with polished plaster, blackened woods and lipstick red seating. The efficient and studious bartenders wear white chef's coats.

Despite the hip 'Martini lounge' appearance, this Gimlet is still wonderfully unpretentious and locals of all ages pop in for classic cocktails, particularly Gimlets and Dry Martinis. The special Cocktail del Dia (cocktail of the day) is worth considering, as are the tasty tapas snacks from Casa Fernandez next door.
