Named after Jacob (Jake) Lewis and established in 1892, Jake's has become justly famous for its Irish Coffee. The other cocktails on the menu probably won't excite Difford's Guide readers but there're eight tasty beers on draught.

Jake's is a regarded seafood restaurant that has hosted Hollywood stars, politicians and athletes from Humphrey Bogart to Madonna. Whether they were attracted by the excellent seafood or just popped in for an Irish coffee is not recorded.

The décor delightfully hasn't changed in decades with the dark oak counter and fabulous vintage back bar with a six foot high oak clad refrigerator.
