Despite its name, The Rummer is not actually a hotel. The title comes from its once being a public house, and the outside of the building, in it's small alley way, look as if it could still be one.

Inside everything looks more modern, and the large open plan venue has plenty of comfortable seating scattered throughout as well as room to perch at the bar. They boast a vast spirits section which makes for a beautiful back bar, and naturally there's an impressive array of rum.

Cocktails are very well-made, balanced and imaginative, plus the bar is more than capable of creating classics. The real gem of the venue however is downstairs in a small cellar bar only open on the weekends. A complete contrast to the large bar upstairs, this is incredibly intimate and only open after 10:30pm on Friday and Saturday.
