Goldbrick House is housed over three floors straddling two Georgian buildings with its labyrinth of stairs and rooms housing an informal ground floor café bar, a two-tiered restaurant with open roof terrace overlooking St Georges Bristol, a cocktail bar and numerous drawing rooms and lounges.
In case you were wondering, Goldbrick House is named after a colloquial term for swindling someone by selling them a brick of base metal covered with gold as a solid gold bar. Its contemporary interior features retro wallpaper, boldly painted walls, chandeliers, period fireplaces, parquet floors and plenty of comfy mismatched old leather chairs.
Goldbrick House boasts an able bar team, which in our experience turn out cocktails of an above average standard even when the bar is rammed, which it inevitably is late week.
