Review

This is the sort of high-end bar that you would expect from Birmingham’s regenerated business quarter. It’s a well-styled space, but most importantly the drinks live up to the design.

There’s a modern, urban feel at Bank, with an open factory ceiling that makes a feature of the visible pipes and vents. The materials used are clean and urban, with Perspex detailing on the ceiling, and a long aluminium bar.
Down one side of the room is an open kitchen where chefs slickly prepare food. More than half the space is dedicated to the bar though, so there’s no pressure to stay and eat if you just fancy a drink.

The cocktail list is spread over several pages, and divided up into champagne cocktails, aperitifs, martinis, classics, digestifs, and 12 signature cocktails. If you’re after a well-balanced drink, served in beautiful glassware with an immaculate garnish, then Bank won’t disappoint.
