Released 17-April 2012, Revival is the first malt from Glenglassaugh since reopening in 2008 after being mothballed for 22 years. Matured in new and refill casks before 6 months marrying in first fill ex-Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at the distillery without chill-filtration or added colour.

Sampled on 21/04/2012

Appearance:

Clear, pale copper.

Aroma:

Children's chocolate milkshake/chocolate sponge cake, fudge, cream sherry and honey.

Taste:

Toasty yet slightly sweet palate with plum, cherry and sultana fruit, mandarin zest honey and lightly spiced oak. Strong sherry and new make notes.

Aftertaste:

Dry spicy oak with lingering toasty sherry.
