Prepare

Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.

Prepare garnish of grapefruit zest twist.

Method

STIR all ingredients with ice.

FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Yellow Chartreuse is a peculiar liqueur that only mixes with some ingredients, and now I know that tequila is not one of them. Moreover, there are no sour or bitter notes to contrast with the sweet flavors, which dominate despite their small proportions. A waste of perfectly good anejo (El Tesoro).

I just made this today, this was my random cocktail choice using the random function based on my ingredients. I must say this was a pleasant surprise, I added a little chilled water as in all cocktails taking liqueurs such as Chartreuse, Maraschino liqueur, or even Benedictine (learned this here of course). Good Tequila Cocktails are rare. According to my ingredients I can make 2400 cocktails ?lol

Very tequila forward. You need to use a good tequila. Additional herbal and cherry flavours come from the liqueurs. Good in a warm afternoon or with a strong cheese.
